Wedding celebration at Parkhotel Weggis
When Evelyne and Philip asked us to photograph their wedding, we did not think that it would be one of the most beautiful wedding reports that we were allowed to accompany in the year. Absolutely likeable bride and groom, great guests, perfect location and much, much love to the details packed in a touch of boho style. Wohow, perfect! The boho-inspired beautiful free wedding ceremony was at the Parkhotel Weggis - the perfect location on Lake Lucerne for a romantic wedding.
Wedding ceremony at Parkhotel Weggis
The sun, the mountains and Lake Lucerne together with their families and friends were witnesses to this beautiful new chapter in their lives. The day was perfect for an exhilarating wedding celebration.
Since it can get relatively warm over the noon, the two have opted for an indoor wedding. This way everyone could enjoy and participate in the wedding ceremony undisturbed. Two best friends created a personal and emotional wedding ceremony. No eye remained dry and tears and laughter alternated with each other to every corner of the room. What else could be expected when everything fit together so perfectly?
Apéro directly on Lake Lucerne
After the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests were welcomed outside directly on the lakeshore with a delicious aperitif. After the congratulations and the obligatory group photos - which are always spiced with a lot of humor - there was a short bride and groom shooting with just the two of them near the hotel. What can we say, it was fun. The two were perfectly styled. The wedding dress and the suit fit them like a glove. Even as a wedding photographer, you don't have that in front of your lens every day and we had to grab it and create memories for the rest of their lives.
The rest is quickly told: Fantastic wedding menu with exquisite wine and delicious dessert buffet accompanied with a few great contributions from wedding guests offered the build-up to the wedding party, which was announced with the cupcake wedding cake. Exhausted but overjoyed we arrived back home at 1am, packed with impressive memories of this wonderful and unique day.
A wedding video in parallel with the wedding reportage - the challenge
When one is on the road as a wedding photographer, the photos are usually in the foreground. But often it is also great to take a short video clip instead of just a photo and then create a small video of the wedding. This is what we did for Evelyne and Philip. The result is a small, hearty wedding video with lots of emotions. Have fun watching it!
